EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GENERAL GUIDELINES
The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is pleased to provide scholarships for the following educational opportunities:
- Fundraisers Forum
- Planet Philanthropy
- AFP International Conference (Chamberlain Scholarship)
An individual member may receive scholarship funds only once during the calendar year.
To apply for scholarships, you must be a member of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
It is preferred that only one applicant at a time per organization within the community may apply for any given educational opportunity.
Applicants are eligible to receive registration only when applying for the educational opportunities. Hotel accommodations, travel, and meals are not included as part of the scholarship. This does not apply to the Chamberlain award for $500.
If applying for the Chamberlain Award, the AFP International Conference educational opportunity it must be the applicants’ first time in attendance. The deadline for the Chamberlain application is October 31.
Scholarship Committee members are not eligible to apply for the scholarships provided.
A conflict of interest consideration may be deemed necessary if the applicant is affiliated with a host educational opportunity and would stand to profit from their attendance.
Scholarship recipients will be asked to write a follow-up report to the Scholarship Committee Chair reviewing their participation in the selected educational event within 30 days.
